description: Mike Spittler has been building the quadate construction almost exclusively for the last 30 years. His training was under Sam Carlson and later acquired the famed milling machine from Bob Summers that was originally designed and build by Morris Kushner. Mike's rods are stunning to say the least. Mike is building some of the finest Quads made today and very hard to acquire. One can expect to wait 2 to 3 years or more for one of these work of art. This rod has been fished and is in "E" condition with the only exception being a very light water marks. Could probably be buffed out it's VERY LIGHT! Also a bit of the label is torn from storage. Medium flamed cane with red silk wraps and black tipping with a serial number of 495. This is a Hollow Fluted rod with modified half wells grip ala Sam Carlson quad with up locking bright aluminum reel seat with hidden hood. Oxidized dark nickel silver ferrules. Comes with fancy ferrule plugs, Carboloy stripper guide, bright guides and perfect varnish. Smooth full flexing authoritative 6wt rod.
