description: Stunning work for Jim Schaaf previous owner of the Dickerson equipment which this rod was made on. When I last spoke with Jim he had stated the rod was made by request for the East Coast Atlantic Salmon fisherman in the late 80's early 90's. Jim had made about 10 to 20 of these rods he couldn't remember at the time but it's a very low number. The rod is very unique in that it's his own tapper and had 3 agate stripper guide located on the first section of the rod or butt section, then the first guide on each tip is a Carbaloy stripper, cork fighting butt that was added by request. Just a wonderful rod made in a very limited run for the Atlantic Salmon fly fisherman. So if you're a collector this will be one to look for or fish the rod as Jim intended it for! Just a wonderful rod for most big water applications!
