Build the best rod possible at an affordable price! I feel Mr. Kiley has accomplished just that given what each rod entails. This rod is patterned after an FE Thomas taper. This is a beautiful straw colored cane rod, circassian walnut reel spacer with nickle silver sliding band and butt cap, transparent reddish orange wraps tipped in black, black wraps at the ferrule stations, black onyx gemstone composite on butt cap and ferrule plug patterned in Mosaic with a very nice reddish agate stripper guide! This makes for a wonderful medium-fast dry fly action rod. Like the last rod this rod is also a pleasure to cast if I do say so myself!!!
