description: Just in stock, Stunning Marc Aroner Spring Creek made with pre-embargo cane from the Paul H. Young limited stash of large round culms, now nearly 60 years old. This cane is a $200.00 up charge from the normal rod cost. As you see in the photo there are a few water marks to the cane no big and very normal for cane of this vintage. These rod are very hard to come by these day as Marc's waiting list get longer and longer. About 3 years for a Spring Creek now! Light colored cane with dramatically swell butt, very fine tips, olive wraps tipped in red then a dark green thread at the ferrule again tipped in red, flawless varnish as only Marc can do! Tapered cigar grip with light maple reel seat. Black nickel silver ferrules, Black nickel silver sliding band and butt cap reel seat with ferrule plugs. I can think of many small creek were this rod would be wonderful to fish. Nice med/fast dry fly action that will throw nice tight loops. Just a pleasure to fish! Everyone that fly fishes cane should experience casting an Aroner Rodto fully appreciate one of the finest rod made today. Also very nice travel rod!
