description: Beautiful R.W. Summers Model 856 Deluxe serial number 1494 production early 90's. This rod is a 8ft 5/6wt 2/2. The is the deluxe model with nickel silver fittings and black tipping on the translucent brown wraps. Half well shaped cork, down locking reel seat with beautiful highly figured dark walnut mortised spacer. The rod is in "M" as new condition. Mr. Summers waiting list is now at 5 to 6 year to get a rod. I'm not even sure if he is taking rod orders at this time. This is a chance to pick up one of his best sellers with no wait.
