description: Early 60 Payne sold directly from the shop made by Jim himself. The rod is in "VG" condition and has been restored with some issues with the restoration like wraps being to light in color not the nice bright gold tipping but for the most part the rod has been done very well. I've just been spoiled in seeing some very nice Payne lately or should I says the best I've seen in over 20 years. The rods varnish is nice a clear and cork is perfect
