description: Stunning "One of a Kind" Walt Carpenter Browntone Parabolic (Prototype) completed in 1995. Feels much like a Payne 7'1" Parabolic taper with much of the same styling, Payne style cork grip, dark color flamed cane, Payne style guide wraps(Very Nice)!!! Walt's providence is included with the rod as it is the one and only rod every built like this. The rod has been test cast by Per Brandin who felt it necessary to mansion the rod in an article on his website as being a great casting! The was after casting more than a dozen other great rods. These rods were cast the day while visiting Nelson Ishiyama's wonderful Henry's Fork Lodge for a Bamboo rod get together. If you've never cast one of Walt's rods your in for a treat! This is the perfect rod for small to medium size rivers. This rod can fish in close or cast 65ft when needed. One of the great rods you'll never see unless you act fast!
