description: I am very proud to announce the addition of Custom Made Reels by D.M. Edel of Reedsport Oregon. Probably best known for his custom Golf Putters that are now a standard with the pro's. David has taken his vast knowledge of the enter workings of original EVH reels then pairing it with his craftsmanship and love for fly fishing. The result is one of today's finest bench made reels in the Edward Vom Hofe style. Ironicly the Vom Hofe brothers, back in the day started out as watch makers. David also being a watch maker was commissioned and has just completed his first run of watches bound for the famous Concourse De Elegance at Pebble Beach. The reel I'm showing is a prototype and not for sale. I'm now taking orders with a 30% deposit for each reel ordered. I feel David's custom reels will quickly become heirloom's, holding their own with the famous makers of the past, present and future! I can't put in to words how nice these reels are. Just imagine fishing with a LHW Edward Vom Hofe Trout Reel then you'll understand. Hard rubber side plates, nickel silver, click or silent adjustable drag are just a few of the reels trade marks. When held in your hand you quickly realise you're holding something special. Like a fine work of art. Weather you decide to add to your collection behind the glass or fish them. These are reels that will stand the test of time. David however would prefer that his reels be fished and enjoyed for a lifetime. Stay Tuned!
