Here is a little history of the gentleman behind the Camera Lens Magic. (About Errol Higgins) (Errol Higgins is a master photographer) A young boy waits patiently, staring into a white tray his face lit up in anticipation. His father, standing next to him, smiles knowingly and pats him on the shoulder. Wont be long now, he whispers to his son. Then all of a sudden, it begins; a faint image starts appearing on the empty sheet of paper floating in the basin. Dad, look, its happening the boy shouts with glee as the image slowly comes to life. With his fathers help, Errol has just developed his first photograph. For master photographer Errol Higgins, this is only one of many fond memories he recalls from his childhood while growing up in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a young man, Errol enjoyed attending school at King Edwards VII in Johannesburg and, while in attendance, made many close friends some of whom he still keeps in touch with to this day. But he also discovered he was a passionate artist who could best express himself through photography. Errols life long passion for the art was inspired by his fathers own work and it soon became clear that Errols time would be best spend under his fathers tutelage learning the precious lessons and valuable skills he would need to master his work. The father and son collaboration was an ideal match and lasted 20 years. The successful partnership gave Errol the necessary knowledge and experience he needed to grow as an artist and develop his personal style. In 1983, Errol left Johannesburg for the shores of Southern California and set up shop in Orange County. The young photographer quickly adapted to his new life style and soon found out, much to his delight, that people communicated and shared their work experiences in America, which was something that was unheard of back in South Africa. Errol was a quick learner and within six months had caught up with the new computer software and techniques being used and had the vision and foresight to embrace this new technology. Errol soon stood at the forefront of digital imaging, exploring and mastering the limitless new worlds of computer science. Each photo will be signed and number by Errol & Myself. I know you will truly enjoy these excellent quality prints. Nothing has been spared in the production of each print. Thanks!
